Burn Permits

The City of Statesboro prohibits outdoor burning without a permit.

How do I get a Burn Permit?

If you live inside the City Limits of Statesboro or in the five mile fire district you need to contact the Fire Department during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) at (912) 764-FIRE (3473) to request a permit. Please state the location and materials to be burned when calling. Someone from the Fire Department will come to the location and determine if a permit can be issued.

There is no charge for a burn permit.
